Freq. Magnet: Principium Somniferum DVD (2006)

A followup DVD+/-R NTSC format video release, which contains custom-designed computer graphics to go with the original CD musick. Contains all the same tracks, etc. as the CD but provides a visual backdrop to enjoy along with the musick, if your DVD player supports the DVD-R or DVD+R (recordable) formats.

There are some very vocal-like passages (samples?) in here, angelic in parts (''Obliquorse''); really cool guitar loops on ''Hexed''. You really manage to wring some cool sounds out of your gear . This has a very wide stage, too; it seems murkier than Austere stuff, but wit hout sounding muddy (if that makes sense). And I do love the package. The case pisses me off; you just can't stack it anywhere, and it rolls out of my CD rack. Brilliant! (Remember the Feederz? They had an album with sandpaper on the outside of the sleeve, to destroy your other records. I always thought that was so cool...)
